THE FASTEST ROUTE TO BUILDING TANGIBLE, MEASURABLE VALUE
CEOs and their teams use the ShortTrack system to master the unnatural skills required to pass through the Value Valves as they grow their company. This passage enables them to develop the skills of a professional CEO to enable them to build value in any type of company.
Companies that enter the ShortTrack are taking the fastest route to building tangible, measurable, and lasting value in their company.
It’s not a shortcut — it’s a 12 month program that puts them on track to:
- Ensure that their offering is viable tomorrow
- Begin influencing their market
- Align their people to their strategy
- Measure performance and benchmark operational results
- Continue creating tangible value as their business gets larger
More importantly, companies on the ShortTrack have the infrastructure and tools to improve each area, and their value, on a daily basis.
CEO Feedback
I have been President & CEO for two different companies in the last 10 years and successfully utilized Ken Edmundson to facilitate our overall strategic direction and path for growth at both. One organization was a turnaround situation and the other was rapidly growing an already very successful business. Ken was able to work well with both leadership teams to develop and build passion for an exciting strategic direction and road map for growing profitable volume. Each team and business was unique with diverse skill sets and opportunity and Ken was able to customize each plan to fit the particular needs of the business.
Ken Edmundson will always be who I call first to partner with me in aligning an organization around a shared vision and road map for success.

From the beginning Ken challenged me as our company CEO to be more strategic and less tactical in all that I do. The process began with Ken challenging me to understand why I personally, and why we as a company, do what we do. He further challenged me to determine why I wanted us to grow as a firm and to what level of growth. Ken then evaluated our staff through various analyses to determine if we have the ability and the drive as leaders in our firm to take it to the next level.
In order for us to grow Ken helped us understand who we are as a firm and who we are as defined by our core values. We were taught to plan, think, and execute not only long term but also on 13 week cycles. Develop a plan, evaluate our resources, and execute. The plan would consist of goals, actions, and accountability. Without question Ken opened my eyes too many things in the strategy and growth process that I had not considered in the past. I am certain that we are and will be a better company going forward as a result of Ken’s help.
Ken also challenged me to lead the charge in the area of business development and also in developing the short term and long term company strategy. As a group we need to be keenly focused on who we have on our staff, their roles, their abilities/inabilities, their needs, their responsibilities, and most important their effectiveness in helping to execute the plan(strategy) that we have in place. Good execution will only be accomplished if we have the right people in the right positions doing the right things.

Ken has taught us to view and manage our company in ways that we never have before. Specifically, he has helped with putting in place a strategic plan covering the next 8 to 10 years to get us to where we want to be. Initially, we spent a great deal of time determining and putting down on paper the principles and values we have as an organization and then developing a plan around these principles and values.
Every 90 days, we determine the most critical items that we as a management group need to focus on. Usually we come up with 5 or 6 critical items and each one is assigned to a specific management team member or group to make sure we get it taken care of. Sometimes, these items may not be completely accomplished and we have to continue on with efforts into the following quarter. For the most part though, we get things done and keep moving forward. It is not perfect but it does provide us with focus and accountability.
I would have to say that one of the most important things we have improved upon is accountability. Just having an objective voice holding each of us accountable to doing certain things has been a tremendous help. Ken reviews our plans and he does follow up with us on a regularly scheduled basis. If something does not get done or at least made progress with we know we are going to have to answer for it. Ken holds us accountable and sometimes tells us things that we may not want to hear.
I highly recommend Ken and the services he provides through his organization. We are a small company and need help in getting the organization to the next level. It is not an inexpensive process and it is definitely something you have to be committed to. We entered into our agreement with Ken expecting we were in for a minimum 18 to 24 month engagement. Ken was very upfront with us about this and our experience is proving to be right on that time frame. We also have the agreement that if we ever get to the point where we feel the process is not working and we cannot get it on track, then we stop. Simple as that.

Ken is the best I have ever worked with in my 26 years in the business. My only regret is that I did not find him in 1984 when I started.

Ken Edmundson demonstrated a direct but kind way of identifying opportunities for our organization and challenged each person to reach their optimal potential. Ken’s approach appealed to the individual’s inner self resulting in unprecedented higher achievement by our management team.
